The Valentine Badger Boosters held their annual athletes recognition ceremony Tuesday evening at the high school. Reports to KVSH Radio indicate the fishing spawn egg harvest at Merritt Reservoir was very successful. Local Conservation officer Dana Miller was on the KVSH Comment program and reported Nebraska Game and Parks personnel had nets out for four nights over the past couple of weeks and caught 776 females on those four nights. 470 females were spawning and crews gathered 97 million walleye eggs to help populate fisheries in the state.
