The goal of KVSH Radio is to serve the public by providing necessary information along with entertainment. Providing local news, weather and sports along with everyday community announcements have always been a strength of KVSH. We try to present this information in a positive manner that serves to promote the community, its businesses and residents. We take pride in being “Live and Local” with someone running the controls and answering the phones during each broadcast day from 6 am until 10 pm.

KVSH Radio first went on the air in 1961 to serve North Central Nebraska and South Central South Dakota. Evens Meyer, Larry Russell and Wally Bazyn were some of the first voices that area residents heard from a local radio station.
Dave Dent joined the staff in 1969. Dave came from Creighton, in Northeast Nebraska and became primary owner in 1990 and retired in 2022.
Mike Burge came on board full time in 1982 after working during high school in the late 70’s and purchased the station, along with his wife, Kim Hill Burge, in 2022.
