After a discussion with Kent Lopez, head coach for Valentine’s American Legion Post #90 Junior and Senior Legion Baseball team, we learned that the team will be putting together a 30-inning scrimmage this Sunday beginning at about 3pm on Legion Field at the baseball complex on the northeast part of Valentine. Lopez stated that the forecast was calling for some cooler temperatures, and the game would be facilitated with the use of a pitching machine.
There are about 30 players on the roster between the Junior and Senior Legion teams, and the seniors will call-up some of the Juniors this summer.
You’re invited out to an afternoon of baseball this Sunday to watch the players, and see the new scoreboard. A concession stand will be available for fans.
