Huskers Defeat North Dakota
- Jamal Rule produced his second 100-yard rushing game of the young season and scored a pair of touchdowns to power Nebraska's 34-7 win over North Dakota Saturday night at Memorial Stadium.
The Cornhuskers closed non-conference play with a 3-0 record, while FCS No. 6 North Dakota slipped to 3-1 with its first setback of the season.
Rule, a freshman running back from Salisbury, N.C., crossed the century mark on Nebraska's first offensive play of the second half, an explosive 55-yard touchdown run to push Nebraska's lead to 24-0 just over one minute into the second half.
Colandrea added another efficient night through the air, completing 15-of-21 passes for 195 yards,
Nebraska totaled 493 yards while holding the Fighting Hawks to 205 total yards, including 106 passing and 99 rushing.
The Huskers dominated the half statistically, putting up 269 total yards on 41 plays, including 134 rushing and 135 passing.
Nebraska will hit the road for the first time next week by traveling to Michigan State. Kickoff against the Spartans is set for 4 p.m. (CT) with live coverage on KVSH beginning with pregame at 3PM.
