Congratulations to all the participants and winners at the recent Achievement Night The 2025 4-H year wrapped up on October 19 with the annual Achievement Celebration at the White Elephant Hall in Cody. Paper Shredding Events Successful
The North Central Nebraska RC&D recently hosted its annual paper shredding routes, drawing strong participation from community members eager to dispose of outdated records. The event offered individuals and businesses the opportunity to safely destroy paperwork on-site, helping prevent identity theft while supporting local recycling efforts. Lady Badgers Qualify for District Final
The Valentine Lady Badgers Volleyball squad defeated Perkins County in the Sub-District final on Wednesday evening at Valentine High School gym. The Lady Plainsmen won the first two sets in close scores, but Valentine came back and won sets 3, 4 and 5 to win the match and qualify for District final this Saturday. The Valentine Chamber of Commerce will be hosting Moonlight Madness Thursday from 6:00–9:00 PM. Moonlight Madness will feature a Scavenger Hunt and Receipt Match Raffle. Updated Firearm Deer Permit Numbers
The Nebraska Firearm deer hunting season is only a couple weeks away beginning on November 15th. KVSH checked into the remaining permit numbers through Nebraska Game and Parks. In the Sandhills Unit there are only 158 remaining permits out of 1,020 allotted. This was a reduction in the total number of permits for the unit. The unit has sold out in previous years as many hunters are seeking a mule deer buck in that unit. There are still about 33 whitetail buck only tags for

Boat Trailers Must Be Removed From City Streets Nov 1.

Pigskin Prediction Results
There were three perfect cards this week in the KVSH Pigskin Prediction Contest, despite some upsets in college football. There were fifteen people who missed only one game. False Alarm At Valentine Elementary Prompts Call To Firemen
Firemen were turned around before arriving at VES. The Valentine Volunteer Fire Department was paged out after a fire alarm sounded at Valentine’s Elementary School just before 2:30pm on Tuesday.
