Over 50 people enjoyed the KVSH Hometown Holiday Christmas program at the Veterans Hall at the Valentine Vets Club Sunday evening. The Vets Club staff provided chili, corn bread and lots of cookies and candies to help set the stage for the evening event.
Chris Beckby, Janette Peterson and Kim Burge acted as hosts for the evening introducing the songs with stories.
Eve Miller set the tone for the evening with some great songs like “It wasn’t his child” and What child Is this”. Next came the energy of Harley Jo Thorpe with “New Kid In Town’ and “Put a little Holiday in your Heart”. Ann Neiffer corralled some extra talent to perform “Suzy Snowflake” with Marvel Parks, and “Silver Bells” with Evie and Lilybet Rolfe. The evening was capped off with Bree Dimontigny performing a favorite “Old Toy trains” and “Oh Holy Night”.
KVSH would like to thank our sponsors, Heartland Power from Maddison SD, Open Plains Transit and Union Bank and Trust.
We will now focus on the annual Christmas Light Tour planned for right after Christmas. You can start sending your nominations to KVSH Radio, 126 West Third St. Include the address and the name of the person you are nominating. You can nominate yourself.
