VHS Musicians Named To Honor Bands, Choirs

Several students at VHS were selected to Kearney and Chadron honor bands, choirs.

The Valentine High School Music Department is excited to announce that

several students have been chosen to be a part of the University of

Nebraska at Kearney’s Honor Music Festival on January 26th, 2026. Roman

Dillon (Trumpet), was chosen for the Festival Band. Praise Maunu

(Soprano), was chosen to participate in the Honor Choir. Allen Ward

(Bass), was chosen for the Festival Choir. Sari LaDeaux (Soprano), Evelyn

Rolfe (Soprano), and Lilybet Rolfe (Alto) were chosen to be part of the

Treble Choir. We are also pleased to announce that several students have

been chosen to participate in the High Plains Honor Band and Choir Festival

at Chadron State College on February 2nd and 3rd, 2026. Praise Maunu

(Soprano), was selected for the Honor Choir. Roman Dillon (Trumpet), Hope

Woodraska (Clarinet), and Kelsey Birch (French Horn) were selected to be

part of the band. The Music Department is very proud of the efforts of

these students for their hard word and musical abilities!
