Childcare Facility to Open January 5th

The Valentine Children and Families Coalition has been working on opening a new childcare facility in Valentine for several years.  Director Jill Austin stopped by the KVSH Studios this morning to announce that the facility will open on January 5th at the Episcopal Church on North Main Street in Valentine. The state licensed facility will start with 8 children and expand to 12 soon with employees coming on board. Andrea Egger will be the coordinator.

The Coalition is a 501c3 for tax purposes if anyone would like to donate to help support the facility.  To expand further, they will need a costly fire suppression system.  The Heart City Childcare is a step in the right direction to address a shortage of quality childcare in the area.
