False Alarm At Valentine Elementary Prompts Call To Firemen
Firemen were turned around before arriving at VES. The Valentine Volunteer Fire Department was paged out after a fire alarm sounded at Valentine’s Elementary School just before 2:30pm on Tuesday. July Retail Sales Up for Valentine
Valentine and Cherry County finally had two months in a row where retail sales were on the positive side. In July, the latest month figures are available, Valentine retail net taxable sales were reported at 9.7 million dollars compared to 9.2 million in 2024. This is an increase of 5.7%. 4th Street Construction to be done soon
The construction project on West 4th Street (HWY 83 North) is nearing completion. Placement of the concrete roadway and sidewalks is complete. Hospital 50th Anniversary
The Cherry County Hospital is celebrated its 50th anniversary at the location on Green Street Wednesday afternoon with coffee and cookies. 50th Celebration for CCH

Adamson Wins Tie Down at Badlands Circuit
J.T. Adamson of Cody won the Calf Roping average at the Badland Circuit Finals Pro Rodeo this past weekend in Minot North Dakota. JT tied for 4th place in the first go-round with a time of 9.8 second. He was also 4th in the 2nd go with a time of 10 flat.
