Two Vehicle Accident Prompts Emergency Response to the "Y"
Emergency crews responded to the accident just before 8am Just before 8am Friday, Cherry County Dispatch notified Valentine Volunteer Fire Department and Cherry County Hospital Ambulance Service of a two vehicle accident at the junction of Highways 20 and 83 southeast of Valentine. Lady Badgers Win SPVA Tournament, Boys Finish 3rd
The Valentine Lady Badgers were 3 and 0 in the South Platte Valley Association tournament that finished with final games on Saturday at North Platte Community College. Valentine defeated Hershey in the title game 44 to 33 to win the championship. The boys finished 3rd place with a 70 to 59 win over Hershey boys in the consolation game.

During the week of January 18th to the 26th, the following arrests were made by the Valentine Police Department: On January 18th, at about 3:35 AM, officers responded to a disturbance complaint in the 100 block of North Wood Street. A 26 year old Nebraska man and a 24 year old Nebraska woman were both arrested for Third Degree Assault and transported to the Cherry County Jail.
