Valentine FFA Competes At North Platte
Valentine FFA competed in their last round of CDE contests February 11. We were back in North Platte today for our last round of CDE contests on February 11th. 2 Sets of Siblings will compete for Badgers at State
Among the 12 Badger wrestlers that have qualified for individual state championships, there are two sets of siblings that will compete in Omaha this week. Bayley Burdick, a freshman on the girls’ team, has qualified for her first championships, while older brother Trevor is a returning state medalist as a junior. The Burdicks are the children of Byron and Julia Burdick from Wood Lake. Bayley will wrestle at 115 and Trevor at 157. The other siblings are returning qualifiers

Successful 25th annual Bull Bash
The 25th annual Bull Bash on Valentine’s Main Street enjoyed unseasonably warm weather on Saturday. Numerous area residents turned out to enjoy the day with over 20 pens of bulls, horses and commercial exhibits. Garrett Leonard won the Ruger model 77 rifle which was given away by the Bull Bash committee with proceeds going to Valentine and Cody Kilgore FFA groups. Valentine Marathon Donates Over $1000 to Valentine Community Schools Foundation

Semi Truck Involved In Motor Vehicle Accident Near Cherry, Thomas County Line
The accident happened midday Wednesday Emergency crews responded to a midday motor vehicle incident involving a semi-truck south of Valentine around the Brownlee turnoff on south Highway 83.
