State Transportation officials say 17 people lost their lives on Nebraska roadways in the month of October, down significantly from the 25 fatalities recorded the same time last year. Of the 12 vehicle occupants killed, five were not restrained, two were using a seat belt and five others were unknown. Family members of a missing Moorcroft, Wyoming man say forensic testing confirms a  body found at the Scotts Bluff National Monument last month  is Chance Englebert. The Facebook post  continues that “the State Attorney will do a press release Wednesday,” after which Chance’s remains will be released to his family. The post said the positive identification is not any type of closure, and there will just always be more questions.

A few upsets in college football this past weekend caused some minor troubles in the KVSH Pigskin Prediction contest.  Pittsburg beating Georgia Tech and Nebraska’s loss to Penn State were the two main culprits. Valentine Volunteer Firemen Training With Propane Fire Simulator.
