During the week of January 11th to the 17th, the following arrests were reported by the Valentine Police Department:
On Wednesday January 14th, at 11:25 PM, officers responding to a disturbance in the 700 block of East 7th Street located two males who had entered into a vacant apartment. The men, ages 24 and 31, were arrested for Criminal Trespassing and booked into the Cherry County Jail.
On Friday January 16th, at 11:24 PM, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of East 2nd street on a vehicle that had been observed operating erratically.
The driver, a 22 year old South Dakota man, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
During the week, officers responded to 35 calls for service, including :
-4 traffic stops
-2 fire calls
-2 truancy complaints
-5 welfare checks
-2 disturbances
-2 animal complaints
