The outage should begin around 2pm Thursday. According to officials with CPPD, there will be a planned power outage beginning at about 2pm Thursday, November 20. The number of athletes out for winter sports look strong in basketball and girls wrestling but are a little slimmer in boys wrestling. Valentine did fairly well in retail sales in the months of July and August when compared to some other peer communities. In July Valentine had a slight bump in sales when compared to 2024 with a 5.7% increase.  In August it took another slight increase of 6.3% compared to a year earlier. December 13th will be National Wreaths Across America Day. The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 90 has organized the local program to honor heroes.
