The North Central RC&D will hold another tire amnesty event in O’Neill on June 9th and 10th.

If you missed the scrap tire collection in Springview in April, you have another chance to dispose of those unwanted tires.  The North Central RC&D will hold another tire amnesty event in O’Neill on June 9th and 10th at the O’Neill recycling center. The goal set for this event will be 700 tons to accommodate more farm equipment and irrigation tires. At the recent Springview event over 350 tons were collected to be recycled by Champlin of Kansas.

Hours will be 9 to 5 on the 9th and 8 to 4pm on the 10th.  The event is open to all residents of the six counties included in the RC&D from Cherry County to Holt County. Once again, no rims and no retailers are allowed by grant guidelines. Donations to the RC&D are appreciated to help offset the cost of these events.
