VPD Week In Review May 10-16 2026

There were 33 calls for service in the past week.

During the week of May 10th to May 16th, the following arrests were reported by the

Valentine Police Department:

On May 14th, at 10;30 AM, a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 83 and

Main Street lead to the arrest of a 35 year old South Dakota woman on charges of

Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine), Possession of Marijuana, and

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

At 4:10 PM on May 14th, officers responded to a disturbance in the 1000 block of

East 9th Street. Two persons, a 36 year old South Dakota man and a 39 year old

Nebraska woman, were arrested and charged with Criminal Trespassing and Disturbing

the Peace.

During the week officers responded to 33 calls for service, including:

8 traffic stops

4 disturbances

3 welfare checks

2 domestic disturbances

2 non-injury accidents
