The Mid-Nebraska Activities Conference has announced its 2025–2026 All-Conference Boys Basketball teams, recognizing standout performances from athletes across several conference schools. Three of the four teams the Badgers lost to are in the class C1 state tournament this week. The Valentine boy's basketball team bested Hemingford Monday night in the district final game to earn a trip to the state tournament for the first time in 22 years. Valentine dominated the game, winning 99 to 57. Isaac Cronin had an unofficial 40 points and was named Farm Bureau Insurance Player of the Game.

Bayley Burdick, a freshman on the girls’ team, has qualified for her first championships, while older brother Trevor is a returning state medalist as a junior.
