First Annual Putt Around Golf Event
Winners of the first annual putt-around golf tournament held on Saturday at various Valentine merchants was the “Putt Me on the Podium” team consisting of Max and Jamie Eggert, Sunny Elliot, Chris Elliot and Grace Murphy. Mission Man Sentenced For Stealing Road Grader
The road grader was stolen from Todd County Maintenance yard United States Attorney Ron Parsons announced today that U.S. District Judge Eric C. Schulte has sentenced a man from Mission, South Dakota, convicted of Interstate Transportation of a Stolen Vehicle. The sentencing took place on February 23, 2026. One Vehicle Rollover Accident Reported Thursday Morning
The rollover happened east of Valentine on Highway 12 Emergency personnel responded to the report of a one vehicle rollover accident at about 9:45 Thursday morning. According to radio traffic, one person was involved in the rollover that took place east of Valentine on Highway 12 near mile marker 7. Cherry County Hospital Ambulance Service, Valentine Volunteer Fire Department, Cherry County Sheriff and Valentine Police Department all responded to the motor vehicle accident.

Apartment Fire Reported in Parmalee, Also
No one was injured in the fire Rosebud Volunteer Fire Department responded to a handful of calls this weekend. Smoke was seen coming from an apartment at the Parmelee Elderly Duplex shortly after 5:30pm on Saturday. According to Rosebud Fire Chief Kenny Provencial, the department had an off duty firefighter who had just arrived in Parmalee just before the fire call had arrived and was able to arrive on scene in a privately owned vehicle to conduct an initial assessment, ass

Fire At Sunrise Apartments In Mission
Photo Credit, Mission Fire And Rescue Facebook Emergency crews responded to a fire reported at Sunrise Apartments in Mission. The cause of the blaze is currently under investigation. According to Todd County Sheriff has stated that there were no injuries in the blaze, and according to the MIssion Fire and Rescue's Facebook page, fire personnel were notified shortly before 10:45pm on Saturday. During the week of February 15th to the 21st, four arrests were reported by the Valentine Police Department: On February 16th, a complaint in the 300 block of North Hall Street lead to the arrest of a 19 year old Nebraska man and a juvenile male on the charge of Burglary.
