50th Celebration for CCH
The Cherry County Hospital is celebrating its 50th anniversary at the location on Green Street this afternoon with coffee and cookies from 4 to 7PM. The original Sandhills General Hospital was a two-story building run by Father Blaire and operated by two sisters in 1912. 2nd Paper Shredding Event Oct 20th
The North Central Nebraska RC&D has partnered with communities to offer on-site shredding on October 20th. A truck from Security Shredding Services will be stopping in Ainsworth, Springview, Naper, Butte, Spencer, and Lynch. The truck starts its day in Ainsworth from 8:30 until 9:30 at the Ainsworth City office, then goes to The Turbine Mart in Springview from 10:15 till 10:45. Adamson Wins Tie Down at Badlands Circuit
J.T. Adamson of Cody won the Calf Roping average at the Badland Circuit Finals Pro Rodeo this past weekend in Minot North Dakota. JT tied for 4th place in the first go-round with a time of 9.8 second. He was also 4th in the 2nd go with a time of 10 flat. Adamson won the third round with a time of 8.1 to seal the average title with 27.9 seconds on three head. JT was able to pocket over $6,000 for the weekend. It's Time Valentine Fund Raising
It’s Time Valentine fund raising efforts continued Saturday night with the reverse raffle held at the former Shopko Building in Valentine. There were 260 tickets sold, so the jackpot was a total of $11,000. Tickets were removed from the board in a countdown fashion until the top ten were left. You had to have a perfect card to win any money in this week’s KVSH Pigskin Prediction contest. There were 12 perfect cards turned in.
