VPD Week In Review, September 6-12, 2026
During the week of September 6th to September 12th, five arrests were reported by the Valentine Police Department.
At 12:18 AM on September 6th, officers responded to a disturbance complaint near 2nd and Main Streets. A 24 year old South Dakota woman was arrested and charged with Assault in the Third Degree.
At 10:43 PM on September 6th, a disturbance complaint in the 300 block of North Valentine Street lead to the arrest of a 32 year old Nebraska man. He was charged
with Assault in the Third Degree and taken to the Cherry County Jail.
On September 7th, an assault was reported in the 100 block of North Main Street at 12:35 AM. Officers responded an arrested a 23 year old Nebraska man. He was charged with Assault in the Third Degree and taken to the Cherry County Jail.
At 3:45 AM on September 9th, an assault complaint was in the Valentine City Park lead to the arrest of a 51 year old man on the charge of Assault in the Second
Degree.
At 12:45 AM on September 12th, a traffic stop near the intersection of 3rd and Victoria lead to the arrest of a 29 year old male on the charge of Driving Under the
Influence of Alcohol.
The police department responded to 35 calls for service during the week, including:

1 disturbance
1 harassment complaint
3 animal complaints
2 requests to assist an outside agency
