During the week of March 29th to April 4th, the following arrests were reported by

the Valentine Police Department:


On March 29th at 12:08 AM, a disturbance complaint in the 100 block of North Main

Street lead to the arrest of a 24 year old Nebraska man for Third Degree Domestic

Assault.


On April 3rd at 10:50 AM, a traffic stop in the 300 block of North Main Street lead

to the arrest of a 26 year old South Dakota man on an outstanding arrest warrant for

driving under the influence.


On April 3rd, at 3:15 PM, a 28 year old Nebraska man was arrested on a warrant

issued for violation of the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry.


In all the police department responded to 41 calls for service during the week,

including:


5 animal complaints

10 traffic stops

2 welfare checks

1 theft


Also, following a recent series of thefts from unlocked vehicles the Police

Department would like to remind everyone to not leave valuables in their vehicle

and to lock their car at least overnight.
