VPD Week in Review April 19 to 25, 2026

Officers responded to 40 calls for service in the past week

During the week of April 19th to April 25th, the following arrests were made by the

Valentine Police Department:

On April 23rd, at 1:00AM, a suspicious circumstances report at the Cherry County

Fairgrounds lead to the arrest of a 25 year old Nebraska man for the offense of

Procuring Alcohol for a Minor.

At 8:00 PM on April 23rd, a disturbance in the 600 block of North Ray Street lead to

the arrests of a 45 year old Nebraska man and a 31 year old Nebraska woman on the

charge of Disturbing the Peace.

At 2:30 AM on April 25th, a traffic stop in the 200 block of East 2nd Street lead to

the arrest of a 21 year old South Dakota man for Driving Under the Influence of

Alcohol

During the week officers responded to 40 calls for service, including:

4 criminal mischief complaints

1 non-injury accident

1 shoplifting complaint

1 assault

2 animal complaints

4 traffic stops
