Week In Review, October 12 - October 18

During the week of October 12th to October 18th, the following arrests were made by

the Valentine Police Department:

On October 18th, at approximately 4:00 PM, officers responded to a welfare check

request in the Valentine City Park. A 47 year old South Dakota woman was arrested

for Possession of a Controlled substance and booked into the Cherry County Jail.

On the 18th, at 7:30 PM, officers responded to a disturbance in the north east part

of the city. A 34 year old Nebraska man was subsequently arrested for Third Degree

Assault.

Also on the 18th, at 10:45 PM, a traffic stop in the 600 block of Highway 20, lead

to the arrest of a 27 year old Wyoming man on a charge of Driving Under the

Influence of alcohol.

During the week officers responded to 47 calls for service, including:

22 traffic stops

6 welfare checks

2 assaults

3 animal complaints

1 non-injury accident

1 fraud
