Valentine Police Chief Jamon Slama was our guest on the KVSH Comment Program this morning.  We talked about many of the usual topics, but one thing that Slama stressed this week as an influx in scams in the area.  One point of curiousity that was brought to the attention of KVSH News recently was a notice of toll fees due or overdue.

Some of these may be scams. But one listener stated that the correspondence may be less sinister, and more a case of mistaken identity. Sometimes, a license plate reader at the tolls will mis-identify your license plate for another vehicle. You may need to contact your local DMV or other agency to help you clear up the mix-up.
