VHS One-Act Team Performs Over the Weekend

VHS Drama Team After Winning Ainsworth Competition.

Valentine High School One Act team performed their play, "The Visitors" by

Del Martin on Thursday, November 13th at the Cozad One Act Festival and

again Saturday, November 15th in Ainsworth. At Cozad the team performed

amid 13 other teams and was rated Superior with six actors receiving

Outstanding Actor awards: Camilla Brown, Sari Ladeaux, Praise Maunu, Josie

Shaul, and Hope Woodraska.

The Ainsworth One Act Festival was a dual between Valentine and Ainsworth,

with the Badgers claiming victory. Not only did the VHS team win first

place, again being awarded a Superior rating, but they also won first place

in the Technical category. The crew were also rated Superior. Six actors

were honored with Outstanding Actor certificates: Camilla Brown, Sari

Ladeaux, Praise Maunu, Lilybet Rolfe, Josie Shaul, and Hope Woodraska.

Finally, Josie Shaul - playing big sister Karen Noonan - received one of

two NSAA sanctioned Overall Outstanding Actor medals!

Way to go Badgers! Coaches Shelly Parks and Bev Brown are very proud of

this team.

The team's next competition is Tuesday the 18th in Gothenburg. The public

performance in Valentine will be Monday, December 1st at 7:00 PM.
