Veterans' Day Supper And Wreaths Across America Approach in KVSH Area

This year's Veterans Day supper sponsored by Leo Brinda Unit #90 American Legion Auxiliary will be on November 11 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm CT at the Vet's Club on Main Street. All area Veterans are encouraged to attend, and the public is also welcome for a free will donation.
Leo Brinda Unit #90 American Legion Auxiliary is once again coordinating Wreaths Across America for Mt. Hope Cemetery in Valentine. The annual sponsorship drive for wreaths has begun. Every December, National Wreaths Across America Day brings the mission to "Remember, Honor, and Teach" to life. Volunteers coordinate wreath-laying ceremonies on Veteran graves in cemeteries all around the globe, including Mt. Hope. We need around 950 wreaths to cover Mt. Hope. A $17 sponsorship secures one wreath. You can find a link to sponsor online by visiting the Auxiliary's Facebook page. THE ONLINE ORDER DEADLINE IS DECEMBER 1! Can't do an online order? Cash is accepted, or checks can be made out to Wreaths Across America and dropped off at the Cherry County Veterans Services Office at 202 N Main St. You can also contact Karen Potter at 402-389-1123. THE DEADLINE FOR CASH OR CHECK ORDERS IS NOVEMBER 18. Wreaths can be grave-specific or donated to any Veteran, you will be prompted for this information. National Wreaths Across America Day is December 19, with a ceremony at Mt. Hope at 11:00 am, followed by wreath placement. The public is welcome and encouraged to participate.
