Semi Truck Involved In Motor Vehicle Accident Near Cherry, Thomas County Line

Emergency crews responded to a midday motor vehicle incident involving a semi-truck south of Valentine around the Brownlee turnoff on south Highway 83. Listener reports stated that Thedford Ambulance, Cherry County Sheriff and Thomas County Sheriff's Department all responded along with the Nebraska State Patrol. Reports to the KVSH newsroom also indicate that this may have been a tanker truck involved in the accident. KVSH did attempt to reach out to the Cherry County Sheriff's Office but have not received any official information. Thomas County Sheriff Joseph Smith did confirm the accident, but as the accident occurred in Cherry County, Smith was not able to comment further.
