BJ Roshone a member of the Sand Painters Art Club is named Artist of the
Month for March. Founder of Wannabe Wandering Photography, BJ is a former
Missourian now rooted on the prairie in Valentine, Nebraska. Over the past
several years, she has honed her craft behind the lens, growing from a
foundation in landscape and architectural photography into wildlife, ranch
life, and striking night scenes. Her featured images capture everything
from vibrant Northern Lights dancing over the Niobrara River to the grit
and motion of rodeo action and the beauty found in everyday moments.
In addition to photography, BJ is a writer who often draws inspiration from
the same sweeping Sandhills landscapes she photographs, crafting stories
that sometimes accompany her images. Together, her words and photographs
reflect a deep appreciation for place, light, and life on the prairie.
Her work will be on display at Sandhills State Bank, Security First Bank,
Viearo Wireless, Union Bank & Trust, and Mid-Plains Community College -
Valentine Campus for the month of March.
