The Nebraska State Patrol has asked for the public's help locating Ebram Anthony Sifuentes, a 32 year old male. Hispanic, 5'11" and 180 pounds. Sifuentes also has brown hair and eyes as well as a black spider tattoo on his right calf. He was last seen in Alliance on August 27th. The last time he was seen, he was wearing grey pajama pants, a tan shirt, and black shoes. If you have any information on his whereabouts, please contact the Nebraska State Patrol or your local law enforcement.
DHHS distributed its 7th and final issuance of scheduled summer EBT benefits September 9. These cards were mailed to eligible households. These families have 122 days (4 months) to use these benefits.
Deb Fischer (R-NE) a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee took to the senate floor to ask her fellow senators to pass the Fiscal Year 2026 NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act). Fischer pushed investment in innovation, missile defense systems, and a modernization of the country's nuclear deterrent.
According to KCSR, the Safeway store in Chadron, a grocery store that has been in business since 1935 will be closing as part of a shuttering of 12 stores all slated to close on November 7th.
