The North Central Nebraska RC&D shredding events are held to help area residents get rid of old financial papers or items that need shredded. Shredding old documents not only clears clutter but also protects your personal and confidential information.
A truck from Security Shredding Services will be stopping in Valentine, Bassett, Stuart, Atkinson, and Ewing on Thursday, September 24th. A second route is scheduled for Monday, September 28th, with stops in Ainsworth, Springview, Naper, Butte, Spencer, Lynch, and Monowi.
This is an opportunity to safely dispose of financial papers, medical records, and other sensitive documents. Magazines, newspapers, plastic bags, and x-rays are not accepted. Documents can be in files with paper clips, staples, and rubber bands, however, larger metal clips and plastic folders cannot be shredded.
There is no charge for individuals and businesses to participate, but donations are appreciated to help cover the cost of the event. Details about specific locations and times are available on the North Central RC&D website, northcentralrcd.com, and questions can be directed to 402-340-1530.
