Garden County Wins 6-man Championship

Somebody was going to win its first state championship in program history on Friday night in Kearney. When the dust settled on an exciting Six-Man season, Garden County outlasted Southwest to claim its first state championship in program history with a 41-22 victory over Southwest at Ron and Carol Cope Stadium on the UNK campus.
Garden County finishes a perfect season at 12 and 0. Southwest finishes at 11 and 1.
Class D-2 finals will be Monday at 2:45 with Wynot playing St. Mary's.
The D-1 final will be Monday at 10:15 with Crofton taking on Sandy Creek.
