Fischer Secures Funding for Area Projects

U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced she advanced over $18 million in funding for critical Nebraska water infrastructure projects. The funding was included in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, which now awaits consideration on the Senate Floor.
Senator Fischers efforts included $1.4 million for watershed and stream improvements in the Middle Niobrara Natural Resources District
Senator Fischer also announced she advanced over $60 million in funding to support critical infrastructure projects and firefighting capabilities across Nebraska. That funding will include:$897,000 to replace or repair multiple bridges in Brown County
$3.4 million to make improvements to roads in Sheridan and Garden County
