False Alarm At Valentine Elementary Prompts Call To Firemen

Firemen were turned around before arriving at VES.

The Valentine Volunteer Fire Department was paged out after a fire alarm sounded at Valentine’s Elementary School just before 2:30pm on Tuesday.  According to radio traffic from the Cherry County Dispatch, emergency response was cancelled after it was discovered that one of the students at the school had pulled an alarm.  There was no threat to anyone at the school, and the incident was discovered before firemen arrived at the school.
