Weather permitting, work will begin Aug. 4 on
Nebraska Highway 97 (N-97), from reference post 127.45 to reference post 134.25, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Knife River Midwest, of Sioux City, Iowa, is the contractor for this project. Work includes bridge repair, asphalt paving and shoulder repair. Traffic will be maintained using a pilot car and flaggers. Lane restrictions will be controlled using signals. A 12-foot width restriction will be in effect. Anticipated completion is Dec. 2025.
Weather permitting, work will also begin Aug. 4 on Spur16-B (S-16B), from reference post 0.00 to reference post 13.47, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.Western Engineering, of Harlan, Iowa, is the contractor for this project. Work includes asphalt paving. Traffic will be maintained with a pilot car and flaggers. A12-foot width restriction will be in effect. Anticipated completion is Nov. 2025. Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and
put phones down.
