Chamber Board Terminates New Hire

According to a press release this morning,

"The Valentine Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is aware of recent public discussion regarding the Chamber Director position.

Following the hiring process, the board became aware of pending legal matters and related public reports involving the individual hired for the role. This information was not available to the board at the time hiring decisions were made. After review and discussion, the board determined it was in the best interest of the organization to end employment effective immediately.

The Chamber takes its responsibility to the community, its members, and local businesses seriously. While personnel matters are generally handled privately, the level of public attention surrounding this situation made it important to provide a clear and factual statement.

The board asks the community to avoid speculation, personal attacks, and the spread of misinformation. Our focus remains on maintaining the integrity of this organization and continuing the work of supporting Valentine’s businesses, events, tourism, and community growth.
