Birth Rates Up At Cherry County Hospital

With many hospitals in the area shuttering their delivery rooms, many patients and expecting moms-to-be are turning to the Cherry County Hospital for their services.
As we reported earlier, the Cherry County Hospital Foundation raised almost $6 thousand dollars to help purchase new labor and delivery birthing beds at the hospital.
The investment comes at an important time for Cherry County Hospital, as the number of families choosing to deliver at the hospital continues to grow. Cherry County Hospital has welcomed 95 babies so far in 2026, compared with 75 during the same period in 2025 and 40 in 2024. That represents more than double the number of births seen during the same period just two years ago.
