A 9,000-acre prescribed fire is being postponed today on the Bessey Ranger District of the Nebraska National Forest in Thomas and Blaine counties as weather conditions are not proper for such activity.
The burn was planned for today in the eastern portion of Thomas County and the southwesterly portion of Blaine County to improve forest and range land health and reduce wildfire risk.
Stay tuned to KVSH Radio for updates on any other prescribed burns over the next few weeks.
