On Thursday morning, many folks in the Valentine area will be hearing lots of sirens for awhile.  While there will be no reason for alarm, there will be some reason for celebration as swim team supporters put together a send-off for the 3 state-qualifying swimmers starting at 9am on Thursday down Main Street.

Addy Valen recently took 2^nd in the 25 yard free style, 3^rd in the 50 yard back stroke and free style, and 4^th place in the 100 yard free style in the Midwest Championship swim meet, and is the 3^rd swimmer from Valentine to qualify for the state competition.

Previous qualifiers for the state event include Aubrey Benson and Ryan Adams.
