VPD Week In Review August 23rd - 29, 2026

The Valentine Police Department responded to 45 calls for service in the past week.

During the week of August 23rd to August 29th, the following arrests were reported

by the Valentine Police Department:

At 1:50 AM on August 24th, officers responded to a disturbance at the intersection

of 2nd and Main Streets. A 23 year old Nebraska woman was arrested and charged with

Third Degree Assault and Resisting Arrest. A 31 year old Nebraska woman was also

arrested and charged with Third Degree Assault.

On August 25th, at 9:20 PM, a traffic stop near the intersection of 5th and Howe

Streets lead to the arrest of an 18 year old Nebraska man for the offense of Driving

Under the Influence.

At 11:40 AM on August 27th, an officer responded to a disturbance complaint in the

200 block of South Hall Street. A 35 year old Nebraska man was arrested and charged

with Child Abuse.

On August 29th, at 11:25 PM, a traffic stop in the 200 block of South Hall Street

lead to the arrest of a 55 year old Nebraka man for the offense of Driving Under the

Influence.

In total the Police Department responded to 45 calls for service during the week,

including:

9 traffic stops

2 disturbances

1 motor vehicle accident with injury

3 domestic disturbances

1 assault

2 disturbances

1 theft

1 theft by shoplifting
