Vietnam Vets Tell Their Story

Interviewers with a program called "Project Share Your Story", by the Nebraska Vietnam Veterans Memorial Foundation are in Valentine today to collect veterans’ stories.  They plan to collect 8 stories from area Vietnam Era Veterans and share those stories via their website.

 KVSH Radio spoke with JR Richardson from Bellevue University, who said this 20-year-old program was authorized by The Library of Congress under Rural History Projects.

 The video interviews will be archived at their website which is NVVMF.org. Veterans who may want to share their stories in the future are also invited to go through that site for information. The local interviews were done at the extension office and at the Vets Club.

 The goal of this statewide effort is to do as many interviews as they can with willing Veterans.
