Valentine Family Aquatic Center To Open Later Than Planned

Cool temperatures are to blame, says city manager Shane Siewart

The Valentine City Pool will not be open on Memorial Day Monday as scheduled. According to city manager Shane Siewart, the pool has not warmed up enough in the past few days due to below average temperatures and a lack of sunshine needed to heat the water. With high temperatures expected to warm up over the weekend, including the low 90s on Monday, Siewart says that it should not take long to get the pool's temperature warmed up enough to allow for patrons to use the facility.
