Valentine City Pool To Open Monday

Cool temperatures prevented the pool from opening on Memorial Day.

Cooler temperatures last week prevented the water at the Valentine City Pool to warm up enough to allow the Aquatic Center to open on their regularly scheduled opening day on Memorial Day Monday.  However with warmer-than-average temperatures this week, city manager Shane Siewart stated that the pool should be ready for swimmers on Monday, June 1^st.  Siewart stated that the fee schedule has not changed from last year.  The daily pass fee is $4, $55 for individual season passes, and family pass for the season is $150.

A lot of last year’s lifeguards are returning for this season, as well as a few new lifeguards working at the pool this summer.
