Tailgate Party October 11th for Events Center

Plans are moving forward for the Community Event Center in Valentine. A committee made up of community members Sarah Jess, Emily Tankersley, Jayden Kirwan, Sara Ferguson and Jody Hollenbeck, has been formed to help with a fund-raising event on October 11th. They will host a tailgating benefit, reverse drawing through the Valentine Volunteer Fire Department at the former Shopko building in Valentine. Social will begin at 5pm with drawing to start at 6pm.  There will be food and beverages on site.  Tickets are currently being sold for $100 each for the chance to win $20,000, if all 500 tickets can be sold.  There will be various other cash prizes during the evening. Tickets are available from any Cherry County Visitors Promotion Board member, at the visitor’s center, or from Sarah Jess or Jody Hollenbeck.  If all tickets are not  sold prior to the 11th, they will be available at the event.  All checks need to be made out to The Valentine Volunteer Fire Department for ticket purchases. 

 On September 24th board members will be back on the Comment program to talk about the event center project and take pledges for donations from the public.  Contributions of any amount will be accepted to go toward the project and can be made over 2 years or 5 years.  This will be a telethon type program on KVSH.
