A 40 year old from Thornton, CO was involved in a boating accident on September 7th at Lake McConaughy. The man was cited after the incident left a 9 year old injured. The boy was in the water when the man's pontoon propeller injured the boy. He was taken to Children's Hospital in Aurora with severe injuries.
Governor Pillen was in Tokyo highlighting the state's pork and beef. Pillen stated that Nippon Foods has made purchases of products grown and raised in the state for many years. According to the USDA, Nebraska exports to Japan in 2024 came to a whopping $387 million.
The Nebraska State Fair concluded another year, 16 years since moving to Grand Island. According to Courtney Glock, there were over 330,000 visitors this year.
