Mural Dedication Held Downtown Valentine Saturday

The dedication celebration was held over several hours on Saturday.

A couple hundred people turned out to enjoy the festivities at the Valentine Mural dedication event held on Saturday. While many events including vendors, music, poetry and kids games were held from 9:30 until 1pm, the dedication itself began at 11am sharp with guest speakers including Mark Hagge, Joan Swimm, Matt Sandoz, and the muralist herself, Lauren Olsen who stated that this was the first dedication of it's kind that she had ever been to out of all of the murals that she has done so far. Speakers talked about the mural but also the culture, history, and community of the Valentine area.
