Michelle Garwood Taking New Position With UNL Buy Fresh Buy Local Nebraska

KVSH Radio will continue to update our listeners on the Extension Educator position

An update on the situation with the Cherry County Extension.  As reported earlier on KVSH Radio, Michelle Garwood has left the position of Cherry County Extension Educator after 7 years.  Garwood stated to KVSH news that she will be trading that job for another position with UNL.  Garwood will now be the statewide Coordinator for Buy Fresh, Buy Local Nebraska.  According to their website, BFBLN is a member-based marketing, promotion, and education program. Since 2006, Buy Fresh Buy Local Nebraska's distinct efforts have been to support our state’s farmers, ranchers and connect consumers to Nebraska-grown food.

Jay Jenkins, zone coordinator for the UNL extension program stated that they are in the process of filling the position with a new educator in the near future.  More updates to come, so stay tuned to KVSH Radio for additional information as it becomes available.
