Local Wreaths Across America

December 13th will be National Wreaths Across America Day. The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 90 will organize the local program to honor heroes. Listeners can purchase a wreath for $17 and it will be placed on a veteran’s grave at Mount Hope Cemetery in Valentine on the 13th.  You can purchase a wreath for a specific grave site or donate to make sure all veterans’ graves have a wreath.

You can scan a QR code on fliers around town or write a check to Unit 90.  If you write a check, it must be turned in by November 10th to ensure the order.  If you use the QR code you have until November 28th.

There will be a short program at Mount Hope at 11AM on December 13th, then the wreaths will be placed.  Last year there were over 600 wreaths placed at Mount Hope.  The public is welcome to help with placement.
