Local Law Enforcement Responds To Report Of Suspicious Armed Person, One Man Arrested

The disturbance was reported around 7pm on Tuesday.

Officers and Deputies from multiple law enforcement agencies responded to the report of a suspicious person with a handgun in Valentine Tuesday evening.  Valentine Police Department and Cherry County Sheriff’s Office made a search for the individual around the eastern portion of town beginning at about 7pm.  According to Valentine Police Chief Jamon Slama, a 20 year old Valentine resident was approached by officers and arrested for disturbing the peace, however no firearm was found at the time.
