Funeral Service for Kenneth R. Turpin age 75 of Newport, NE will be held on 10:00 AM Friday (April 17, 2026) in the Newport Fire Hall. Interment will follow in the Willowdale Cemetery northwest of Newport. Military Rites are to be conducted by Bassett American Legion Post #123. Kenneth Turpin passed away on Saturday (Apr. 11, 2026) at his home near Newport.

Ellie Dillon and Bobbi Hempel all of Bassett, NE
& Judy (Orven) Hulshizer of Crofton, NE
Along with nieces, nephews and other family members
Visitations for Kenneth Turpin will be held on Thursday (April 16, 2026) from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hoch Funeral Home in Bassett and continue on Friday from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM in the Newport Fire Hall.
Those attending services are asked to please wear casual attire.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to Aseracare Hospice Program or the Newport Volunteer Fire Department in Kenneth’s name.
