Jamie Elliott Wins Chalk Art Contest

Sidewalks and driveways across Nebraska became colorful canvases for a cause in September as artists helped Nebraska CASA Association raise awareness about the need for more Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers.
Thursday, Nebraska CASA announced the six winners of its 2026 “Chalk It Up for CASA” statewide chalk art contest, themed “A Future in Full Color.”
The Grand Prize winner is Jamie Elliott from Valentine.
CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate. CASA volunteers are trained community members appointed by judges to advocate for the best interests of children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Volunteers spend time getting to know the child, communicate with caregivers and professionals, gather information and provide the court with an independent perspective about the child’s needs.
Nebraska CASA Association is the statewide organization supporting Nebraska’s network of local Court Appointed Special Advocate programs. Check out Jamies artwork at KVSH.com.
