High winds have wreaked havoc in the KVSH listening area. Several branches were reported down around Valentine. A representative at KBR Rural Public Power in Ainsworth stated that so far there was only one “very localized” power outage that affected the KBR service area. There were also small sporadic outages caused by the high winds in the Cherry Todd service area. Luckily, Cherry Todd stated that they have not had to deal with any downed power lines which could lead to fires as well as interruptions in electrical service.
If you have any damage reports, you can contact KVSH radio at 376-2400 and we’ll pass that information along to the National Weather Service as well as our listeners. If you have a power outage to report, contact your local power supplier – and if you have an emergency call 911.
